Pre-school Room The Flying Start Pre-school leader prepares every child in her care for a happy and successful start to school life. In our warm and supportive atmosphere children continue develop their understanding of the world around them and are encouraged to be active learners who take an interest in and care for others. Our curriculum is based on the national Early Learning Goals for young children, part of the “National Curriculum". A wide range of activities are planned with an emphasis on learning through fun. Children are introduced to a variety of learning opportunities including early reading, writing and maths skills as well as use of a computer. We balance the need for adult directed activities with plenty of time for children to build their independence and confidence through free choice. We value every child as an individual and have experience of supporting children with special educational needs and those learning English as an additional language. Children aged 3 and 4 have are entitled to 5 free sessions a week during term-time. A great pre-school experience to really give your child a flying start.
